Child run over by car after sister releases parking brake

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

A 2-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after being run over by the family car.

It happened in Anderson Township at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says the family's car was parked in the driveway. The father was outside playing with his children when his 5-year-old daughter climbed inside the vehicle and released the parking brake.

The vehicle rolled backwards and over the girl's 2-year-old brother.

The toddler was taken to Children's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
