LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A woman accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of baby formula from Louisville grocery stores faced a judge.

Tuesday, Rudy Bard, 18, was assigned a public defender.

Bard was arrested at the Kroger store in Saint Matthews, located on North Hubbards Lane, Saturday after police said she was caught carrying out 41 cans of formula in a plastic bin.

According to a police report, she stole an estimated $6,000 worth of formula from the store on different occasions. Police said Bard was caught on camera five other times taking cans from the Saint Matthews store.

The report also stated Bard has committed similar thefts at other locations and has been banned from all Kroger stores.

She will be back in court October 2. Her bond was kept at $200.
