LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A woman
accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of baby formula from Louisville grocery
stores faced a judge.
Tuesday, Rudy Bard, 18, was
assigned a public defender.
Bard was arrested at the Kroger
store in Saint Matthews, located on North Hubbards Lane, Saturday after police said
she was caught carrying out 41 cans of formula in a plastic bin.
According to a police
report, she stole an estimated $6,000 worth of formula from the store on
different occasions. Police said Bard was caught on camera five other times
taking cans from the Saint Matthews store.
The report also stated Bard has committed similar thefts at other locations and
has been banned from all Kroger stores.
She
will be back in court October 2. Her bond was kept at $200.
