LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Teddy Bridgewater as a Heisman Trophy candidate? Charlie Strong thinks so.
"I think Teddy belongs there because if you look at the season that he is having. I really see how many players are playing that well across the country, but Teddy Bridgewater is playing very well," Strong said. "If you watch his throws, he's making the right throws."
Bridgewater has completed 91 of his 124 passes for 1,049 yards in leading the Cards to a 4-0 start. He has thrown 7 touchdown passes and just 2 interceptions.
"He's one of those guys where this doesn't really faze him," Strong added. "A lot of players get caught up in this moment, he's not even caught up in it. He knows that he has to improve."
Bridgewater and the Cards visit Southern Miss on Saturday night at 8 p.m. The game is being televised nationally by the CBS Sports Network.
