HODGENVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A LaRue County man arrested after a crash that killed a Hodgenville police officer remains behind bars.
A not guilty plea was entered Wednesday morning for Jason Avis, 29. A public defender has been assigned to the case. Avis is charged with fleeing and evading and wanton endangerment.
Officer Mark Taulbee was following Avis after responding to a domestic disturbance call when he flipped his car.
Avis is being held on a $25,000 bond. His case now goes to the LaRue County Grand Jury where additional charges could be added.
