Police investigating fatal shooting in Chickasaw neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The Louisville Metro homicide unit is investigating after a fatal shooting in the Chickasaw neighborhood.

According to MetroSafe, they received a call of shots fired around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of Cecil Avenue.

According to LMPD, when officers arrived they found a male victim in an alley. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds.

It is unclear if the victim lived in the area or was a victim of a crime.

No suspect information is available at this time.
