Gregory O'Bryan
Andrew Compton
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A plea
deal could be in the works for the man accused of killing a Sullivan University
student.
Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney
Tom Van DeRostyne confirmed to WAVE 3 an offer has been made through Gregory O'Bryan's
attorney to him.
WAVE 3 was told lawyers
have sat down and discussed the terms of the plea with the parents of murdered
teen Andrew Compton and they have agreed.
Defense attorneys have not
had a chance to go over the terms, so they are not being made public.
Compton was a freshman at
Sullivan from Carmel, Indiana. Police said O'Bryan killed Compton while the two
had sex in 2010, then put his body in a dumpster.
Compton's body has not
been found.
O'Bryan's trial could
start in November.
