BRANDENBURG, KY (WAVE) – A Meade County man has been convicted of trying to kill his wife in a fire.
A jury found Alan Bruner, 41, guilty of arson and attempted murder.
Police said Bruner slipped Ambien into his wife's pancakes, set three fires inside their home and left his wife inside to die. Firefighters rescued the woman.
Bruner is scheduled for formal sentencing in October.
