LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) –
With temperatures dropping around WAVE Country many people are in need of assistance
to pay their heating bills.
Early registration for the
Low-Income Home Assistance Program in Louisville will begin Monday, October 1, at
the Newburg Community Center, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
During the month of
October only the elderly and people on disability are allowed to pre register.
Those who want to apply
for the assistance need to provide a picture ID, proof of household income, a
social security card and their most recent heating bill.
If you do not meet the
early registration but would still like to apply you can set-up an appointment,
in person, on October, 31 and November 1 at the CAP Office located in the Urban
Government Center at 810 Barrett Avenue, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Appointments can also be
made at the same center on November 2 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
All three CAP offices will
begin taking appointments beginning November 5, Monday through Friday from 8
a.m. to 1 p.m., with exception to the Newburg location which is closed on
Fridays.
