LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville man who is already on Kentucky's Sex Offender Registry has been arrested after he was caught viewing pornographic images of children at a public library.

According to an arrest report, Mark L. Brown was observed at the Bon Air branch of the Louisville Public Library around 3 p.m. September 30 looking at pornographic images on one of the library's computers.

Louisville Police said Brown, 37, was viewing pictures of adolescents that were on a thumb drive he had inserted into the computer.

Brown was charged with two counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. He was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections and arraigned before a judge Monday morning. A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf.

Brown was placed on the Kentucky Sex Offender Registry after he entered into a plea agreement in September 2004 for an arrest on sodomy charges in January of that year while employed as a teaching assistant at a Jefferson County school.

Brown will be back in court October 11.
