CLARK COUNTY, IN (WAVE) – A judge has rejected a plea deal in the case of a southern Indiana mother accused of having sex with her daughter's 14-year-old friend.

Katherine Cervantes is charged with sexual misconduct with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after an alleged incident at her home in October 2011.

Cervantes was supposed to take a plea deal from prosecutors on Monday, but the judge rejected the deal.

The reason for the judge's decision has not been released.

A new trial date for Cervantes has been set for November.
