Hotel employee shot trying to protect guest

CLARKSVILLE, IN (WAVE) – A man was sent to the hospital after a shooting at a Clark County motel.

Clarksville Police told WAVE 3 a woman staying at the Pyramid Inn on Highway 31 told the management she was having trouble with an ex-boyfriend.

Police said her ex-boyfriend showed up at the motel and when an employee tried to step in her ex shot the employee in the leg.

The employee is expected to be okay.

Police said they arrested the ex-boyfriend and have him in custody.
