CLARKSVILLE, IN (WAVE) – Police in Clarksville, Indiana have busted a marijuana growing operation.

Major Darrell Rayborn of the Clarksville Police said the department received a tip from an informant about the grow operation at 204 Altra Drive. When CPD narcotics officers went to the house Rayborn said they were able to look into the backyard and see the plants.

The officers then knocked on the door and were given permission to search the house. In addition to the plants in the yard, more plants were found growing inside a detached garage.

Rayborn estimates 60 plants had a street value of $80,000 to $100,000.

One person has been arrested. Dwayne Price is charged with possession of marijuana, cultivating marijuana, and maintaining a common nuisance.

Although police were given permission to search the home, Rayborn said they would get a warrant before doing a complete search.

Police said another arrest in the case is possible.
