KSP accepts anonymous texting tips

FRANKFORT, KY (WAVE) - Kentucky State Police are turning to our love of texting to help solve crimes.

You can now text confidential tips from your cell phone.

Just write "KSP Tip" in the message, along with your tip, and send it to 67283.

The messages are sent to a separate, third-party server where identifying information is stripped out and they are assigned an encrypted alias before being sent to police.
