Sheriff's office asking for help to identify an armed robber

SELLERSBURG, IN (WAVE) – Police are asking for help to identify an armed man captured on a surveillance camera accused of robbing a southern Indiana motel.

According to the Clark County Sheriff's Office, around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday a man entered the Days Inn Motel located at 7618 Old State Road.

The man walked up to the counter and showed the employee a semi-auto pistol and demanded money. The clerk gave the man money and he fled on foot before getting into a dark colored car.

The man is described as being between 5'6'' and 5'9'' tall and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. He has a mustache and a goatee.

He was last seen wearing a dark zip-up hoodie, white t-shirt, a black hat with a white design, light colored khaki pants and black high top tennis shows.
