LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A new law in Kentucky is helping keep players safe on and off the field. The law requires coaches, trainers and athletic directors to go through training so they can better determine not only when a player receives a concussion, but why it's critical to get that player off the field and keep him off until the injury heals.
Kentuckiana Orthopedic Rehab Team or KORT, is offering free concussion assessments on Monday from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. at six area locations.
