Veterans receive trip of a lifetime

The Kentucky veterans arriving in Washington, D.C.

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Honor Flight carrying veterans left for an amazing adventure Saturday morning.

The 35 veterans left for Washington, D.C. at 7:40 Saturday morning. The vets toured the World War II Memorial while they were in the nation's capitol.

They returned home around 7:30 Saturday evening.
