CHICAGO, IL (WAVE) – It may have been just 10 degrees above freezing, but that chill did not stop 45,000 people from taking part in the Chicago Marathon.
A man from Ethiopia won the race. He finished the 26.2 mile course in 2:04:38.
All 50 states were represented as were 115 countries. That includes at least two people from Kentuckiana. WAVE 3's Katie Bauer took part in the marathon with her friend Katie Provence Kraft of New Albany. The two Katies said they feel accomplished.
