Woman arrested after reported stabbing

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An argument ended with a stabbing in the Cane Run area.

According to an arrest report, police arrived to a home on Broadleaf Drive, located off Cane Run Road, around 6 p.m. Sunday on a report of a stabbing.

Officers said they found Dezire Billups with a knife and blood on her hands at the home.

They said during a argument, Billups grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed the man in the cheek.

A second victim was cut on her hand while trying to take the knife away from Billups.

The victims were able to get Billups outside of the home until police arrived.

The man and woman who were cut both refused EMS and are expected to be okay.
