Man hold woman at gunpoint, forces her in car

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A man was arrested after being accused of attacking a woman, holding her at gunpoint and forcing her into a car.

According to a police report, Frank Smith of Louisville got into a fight with a woman on Monday around 8 a.m.

The woman told him to come get his stuff. When he arrived police said he grabbed her by the throat and began to strangle her.

Police said she was able to get away, but Smith grabbed a gun held it to her head and forced her in a car.

The woman was able to escape at a red light.

Smith was taken into custody. His charges have not been released.
