Police seeking suspect in deadly Okolona shooting

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police are investigating the murder of a man in Okolona who was killed early Wednesday in his home.

Officers were called to the 6500 block of Larry Lane around 3:30 a.m. on a report of a shooting. The victim, said to be in his 20s or 30s, was home with his girlfriend and their four children at the time of the shooting.

According to neighbors, members of the victim's family said he was shot four times near a bathroom and that the shooter may have crawled in through a window.

Metro Police said they do not have a suspect at this time, but told WAVE 3's Katherine Kington this is not domestic violence case and the girlfriend is not being considered a suspect.

As part of their investigation, police have towed two Dodge Durango SUVs from the scene. Investigators have not said what connection the vehicles may have had to the murder.

No one else in the home was injured. The name of the victim has not yet been released.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the LMPD Crime Tip Line at 574-LMPD (5673). All calls to the Crime Tip Line are anonymous.
