LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) –
Residents in Buechel who have been living without power since a car plowed into
their apartment building are now being told they need to move out.
Sandra Garrett and her
neighbors in her apartment complex along Beechbrook Road have been without
power since September 24, when the car driven by a man who police said was
running from them hit the building it knocked out the electrical boxes.

Wednesday, the city
inspectors deemed the building unsafe and told residents need to leave.
"Here we are, nowhere
to go, no family to fall in on," explained Garrett.
Last week the landlord
told WAVE 3 the car owner's insurance company will pay for the damage.
Residents have until Friday
at midnight to leave. The landlord was unable to be reached for comment.
