GLENCOE, KY (WAVE) - A central Kentucky woman is accused of trying to shoot her father who is the county sheriff.
According to police, the woman pointed a loaded weapon at her father, Owen County Sheriff Zemer Hammond, at his home in Glencoe.
Police said Heather Hammond's gun jammed.
Police said this is not the first time the family has been in trouble with the law. Back in May the sheriff's son, Joshua Hammond, was charged with beating and strangling a man before dumping his body on the side of Interstate 64 in Franklin County.
Heather Hammond is charged with attempted murder and wanton endangerment. She is being lodged in the Carroll County Detention Center.
