LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – One vice presidential candidate was missing from Thursday's debate in Danville.
Cheri Honkala, made a stop in Louisville Friday. She said she was actually in Danville Thursday night, but the Green Party was excluded from the debate.
Honkala got a tour of local services for homeless and low-income families while she was in Louisville. Honkala grew up in a home filled with poverty, mental health problems and domestic violence.
"People are suffering here in Kentucky. They're suffering not only in Kentucky, but they're suffering across the entire country. And that's why I decided to run as the very first formerly homeless mother for one of the country's highest offices, vice president on the Green Party ticket," said Honkala.
