LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A local attorney will not be able to practice law again after a DUI crash that injured two people.

Paul Gordinier will also not be serving the 15 years he was facing.

"My determination is that probation is appropriate and I am going to grant your motion for probation," said Judge Brian Edwards, Jefferson Circuit Court.

Police said Gordinier drove drunk in 2011 and hit a motor scooter on Shelbyville Road. He entered an Alford Plea in June to two counts of assault.

Judge Edwards ordered him to 30 days in jail followed by 60 days of home incarceration. He must also continue his substance abuse treatment and community service.
