Officials to hold JCPS arena dedication

The new Valley High School arena.

LOUISIVLLE, KY (WAVE) – Jefferson County Public Schools officials will be holding a special dedication ceremony at Valley High School next week.

Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., Congressman John Yarmuth, Mayor Greg Fischer and Superintendent Dr. Donna Hargens will dedicate the school's new arena in honor of the late JC Cantrell. He was a founder and coach.

The 3,200 seat arena was part of a $26 million project supported by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
