LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A flight from Atlanta to Indianapolis was diverted to Louisville Saturday morning.
Trish Burke with Louisville Regional Airport Authority said Air Tran flight number 186 landed safely in Louisville at 11:22.
According to Olga Romero with Southwest Airlines, the flight had 109 passengers and five crew members on board at the time. She said the crew smelled smoke and decided to divert the flight for precautionary reasons.
The airline is sending another plane to pickup the passengers to get them to their destinations.
