The Alabama Crimson Tide is ranked #1 in this week's BCS standings, the first rankings of the 2012 college football season.

The ranking was announced Sunday night on ESPN. The BCS ranking at the end of the season determines which two teams will play for the BCS national championship.

Here is this week's BCS top 10 rankings:

1 Alabama
2 Florida
3 Oregon
4 Kansas State
5 Notre Dame
