LEXINGTON, KY (WAVE) – A woman who successfully pushed for a law in her daughter's name was a part of another big boost for victims of domestic abuse.
The mother of Amanda Ross was in Fayette County Monday for the official opening of Amanda's Center, a place where victims can go to feel safe and get help.
The center is something Diana Ross has worked tirelessly for since her daughter was gunned down by her ex-fiance, former Kentucky Lawmaker Steve Nunn.
Amanda's Center is located in a secured office inside the Fayette County District Courthouse.
At the center victims can get emergency protection orders, as well as much needed advice.
