CAMPBELLSBILLE, KY (WAVE) - A Kentucky inmate is credited with saving a woman from a potential abduction.

Chris Tuttle, 28, is a state inmate in Taylor County.

According to the Central Kentucky News Journal, on October 8 around 2 p.m. Tuttle was out on work release along Old Greensburg Road when he noticed a young woman walking home from work was being followed by a suspicious man in a car.

Tuttle said the man asked for directions and drove away. Then he saw the man pull over, remove his pants and drive back up to the woman.

Tuttle and a city employee followed the woman around a corner and were able to step in when they saw the man grab the woman through his window.

The driver sped off and has not been seen since.

Tuttle was arrested for third degree burglary.
