CARROLLTON , KY (WAVE) – Patrons of a popular fast food chain were on edge after a gun was fired during their lunch.
According to police, they were originally called to a McDonald's after reports that a woman fired a gun in the building at 12:45 p.m. on October 11.
Once police arrived they learned the woman was reaching in her purse when the gun accidentally fell out and fired.
A bullet struck a leather chair, but no one was injured.
The woman, who was from Ohio, did have a valid carry concealed deadly weapon permit.
Police determined no criminal activity was involved and return the gun to the woman.
