Police searching for Speedway robbery suspect

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a convenience store in the Iroquois neighborhood.

According to Louisville Metro police, around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning police said a man walked into the Speedway located at 6821 Southside Drive, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash.

After he was handed an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect fled the store on foot.

The suspect is described as a man between 30 and 40 years of age, 5' 10'' tall and weighing around 150 pounds.
