JEFFERSONVILLE, IN (WAVE) - An emergency teachers meeting was held at Jeffersonville High School after reports concerning a changeover in the principal's office.

On Thursday, Greater Clark County schools administration would only say that Jeffersonville High School Principal James Sexton was "not in the office."

Sexton has been placed on paid administrative leave.

School Board Member Nancy Craft said the leave is for three days. He told WAVE 3 it is a personnel matter.

Sexton is running for a Jefferson County Public School  board seat in Jefferson County. A release from Greater Clark Schools also stated speculating about the matter would be inappropriate

and that no disciplinary action has been taken against Sexton.

The district would not comment any further.
