LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Firefighters say a fire in the basement of a Rubbertown plant took about 40 minutes to get under control.

Dispatchers say the emergency call came in to MetroSafe at 12:57 a.m. to the Lubrizol plant at 4200 Bells Ln.

Firefighters from Lake Dreamland and Pleasure Ridge Park both responded to the call, and quickly found a fire pump had caught fire in the basement of one building.

Lt. Col. Matt Coulter, Lake Dreamland assistant fire chief, said the fire was isolated to one room, and no one was hurt.

No chemicals were involved, so there was no emergency alert issued to the public.
