Woman killed in West Louisville crash identified

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A woman who was killed after a crash in West Louisville has been identified.

Stephanie Melson, 31, was pronounced dead at 2:09 p.m. Tuesday at University of Louisville Hospital.

According to MetroSafe, the crash happened at 38th and Kentucky Streets in the Chickasaw neighborhood at 1:24 p.m. Tuesday.

The coroner said Melson died of multiple blunt force injuries.

Police are still investigating the crash.
