Woman who hit, killed toddler with car not charged

CLARK COUNTY, IN (WAVE) - The woman accused of killing a toddler she hit with her vehicle will not face charges.

The Clark County coroner confirmed two weeks ago, 18-month-old Aiden Maples was playing with about 10 other children in the driveway of his home in the 1100 block of Leon Prall Road in Otisco, Indiana when his mother's cousin drove up and hit Aiden.

The coroner said Aiden's injuries were consistent to being struck by a vehicle.

Tuesday, the Clark County prosecutor said no charges will be filed and the incident was just a tragic accident.
