Mayor's daughter arrested on drug charges

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A University of Kentucky student who was arrested on drug charges turned out to be the daughter of a central Kentucky Mayor.

University police arrested Rachel Siegelman,19, Wednesday on a campus parking lot after she reportedly sold drugs to a police informant.

Siegelman's address matched the address of Versailles Mayor Fred Siegelman. Police charged her with three counts of drug trafficking and one count of trafficking LSD.

    Nearly one year ago, a 22-month-old boy in Seymour, Indiana nearly drowned after he found his way outside and into a pool. Quick action from family and neighbors were able to save Maddex "Maddie" Elicio's life but left him with brain damage.  Family, friends and strangers filled a Crothersville, Indiana park Sunday to help raise money for Maddie's treatments and awareness to water-related accidents and deaths with children.
