LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE ) – LG&E and
Kentucky Utilities crews were on their way to the hurricane zone on Sunday to
aid in power restoration efforts after Hurricane Sandy strikes.
Nearly 300 line technicians, tree crews and
other personnel from across the Louisville Metro area were headed to
Pennsylvania. Once they arrive, they will await their assignments.
Also, Louisville International Airport
flights departing to and arriving from the east coast were being affected by
the hurricane.
Travelers or people who have arranged to
pick up travelers at the airport should check the status of their flights at flylouisville.com before arriving at
the airport.
