2 guards assaulted, LMDC on lockdown

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Two guards have been assaulted and Louisville Metro Department of Corrections has been put on lockdown.

According to LMDC Spokesperson Kelly Feiock, an 18-year-old inmate assaulted the corrections officers in the disciplinary housing section.

The officers were transported a hospital with minor injuries.

The jail was placed on lockdown at 7:45 p.m. Monday. The lockdown will remain in effect pending further investigation.
