Louisville Metro Department of Corrections
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The lockdown
of the disciplinary housing section at Louisville Metro Department of Corrections has been lifted.
The lockdown started after two
correctional officers were assaulted.
According to LMDC spokesperson Kelly Feiock, inmate Dawaun Jennings, 18, assaulted the officers.
Jennings has been housed in the jail since December 5, 2011 on charges of
assault, kidnapping and robbery.
Jennings is charged with additional
assault charges as a result of the attack.
The officers were treated and released
from University Hospital.
