Student struck by vehicle while waiting for bus

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A high school freshman is recovering after being hit by a vehicle during the morning rush hour.

The accident happened just before 7 a.m. Tuesday while the student was waiting for a bus on Goldsmith Lane near Belmont Road, near Bardstown Road and the Watterson Expressway.

The victim is a Jefferson County Public School student, but officials would not release which school the student attended.

The student was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No additional information has been released.
