Car crashes into pole, 5 injured

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Five people were injured after a car crashed into a utility pole.

The crash happened at 18thStreet and Muhammad Ali Boulevard just after 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the driver of the car ran a red light before hitting the pole.

Two adults and three children were transported to hospitals for treatment.

Police said their injuries are not considered serious.
