LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Jefferson County Public Schools has been doing its best to prepare parents for not only the academic changes the Common Core Standard program will bring , but also the change they will see as the district's and the Nation's first test scores are released.

Common Core Standards are not how the mothers and fathers of today's students learned the foundation for their basic skills. The program is raising of this bar and is being called the biggest educational shift in history.

With 47 states on board, for the first time in history children across the country will learn the same curriculum at the same time.
