Obama speaks to "fired up" crowd at UC

A capacity crowd came to Fifth Third Arena Sunday night to watch President Obama speak at a rally.

About 13,500 were in the arena, and another 2,000 were watching on a big screen in an overflow room backstage.

The rally began with a performance by Stevie Wonder.

"When I hear someone talking about the 47 percent don't matter, that's unacceptable," said Romney, referring to comments made by GOP candidate Mitt Romney.

Wonder also joked that he hasn't seen either of the candidates, so his choice isn't based on race. He had the crowd chanting, "We're fired up!"

Wonder performed a few of his hit songs including "Superstition," and "Higher Ground," before passing the floor to Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory.

Mayor Mallory discussed the importance of Ohio votes, Hamilton County and Cincinnati in particular. When Mallory asked the crowd how many of them had already voted, about half of those in attendance cheered.

President Obama asked the crowd to trust him with four more years.

"It's not just about policy, it's about trust. Who do you trust?" he said, to which the crown replied, "You!"

Both Obama and Romney are campaigning in Ohio again on Monday. Both of them are in Columbus.
