Joker fired; Derailment update; Victims from fire remembered; Boy killed at zoo

The Big Blue Nation is on the hunt for a new football coach. Kentucky has fired Joker Phillips, a day after an embarrassing loss to Vanderbilt. Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart announced Phillips' dismissal today in an open letter on the athletic department's web site. WAVE 3's Kendrick Haskins will have more on who may replace Joker tonight after football.

Great news for people impacted by the train derailment. Evacuations have been lifted and homeowners are being allowed back into the town of West Point. But, the news isn't all good. The city of Radcliff is experiencing heavy traffic because of the Dixie Highway being closed. WAVE 3's Matt McCutcheon has important information about alternate routes that you need to know before you head out the door Monday morning.

You may remember on Christmas Day 2011, a tragic fire in Stamford, Connecticut claimed the life of a three children and their grandparents. The grandparents, Lomer and Pauline Johnson, were from Louisville. Tonight, WAVE 3's David Williams spoke to the children's father about why he is so passionate about arts based education in their honor.

At 6:00 tonight we told you about that horrific incident at a Pittsburgh zoo. A little boy fell into an African painted dog exhibit today and was mauled to death by the wild animals. The child was with his mother when it all happened. He fell about 11 feet off a railing. Tonight, we have an update on how the boy fell.

Meteorologist Lauren Jones will have your election day forecast and there may be a warm up on the way!

See you tonight after football!!!
