Whiskey fungus on the side of a home.
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The spirit
company cited by Louisville's Air Pollution Control District for causing what
is commonly known as whiskey fungus is responding to part of the complaint.
APCD filed a notice of violation in October
against Diageo America's Supply Incorporated who runs whiskey warehouses just
south of downtown.

Monday, a city spokesperson said Diageo
is expected to file a plan to deal with the odor complaints, but wants more
time to investigate the other concerns, including the actual fungus allegedly
growing on area homes and cars.
APCD said once the plan is submitted, it will need to be
reviewed before deciding whether Diageo is in compliance.
