JEFFERSONVILLE, IN (WAVE) – Jeffersonville Police have released a sketch of a man they say is responsible for sexually assaulting two teens.

The assaults happened on October 5 and October 31. In both cases, police said the teens were lured from the street and taken to a wooded area.

According to police, the man responsible approached the teens in a friendly manner and convinced them to walk with him.

In one case, he lured the teen from the 2000 block of 10th Street. In the other assault, the teen was in the 2400 block of Middle Road when approached.

Because of the wooded areas where the assaults happened were within walking distance of schools, the Greater Clark County Schools were put on notice by police.

Anyone with information about the man wanted is asked to call the Jeffersonville Police Department Tip Line at 812-218-TIPS (812-218-8477).

Louisville Metro Police Chief Steve Conrad has asked his men and women to wear mourning bands for a former officer shot in the line of duty.  It was more than four decades ago when Detective Bobby Branham was critically wounded.  His widow, Mary Carroll Burnett tells us, her husband had a lot of scar tissue from multiple surgeries after the 1972 shooting and those complications led to his death May 14.
