Schnatter: Obamacare could impact Papa John's customers, employees

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Politics and pizza are topics of debate across the country.

John Schnatter, founder, chairman and CEO of Louisville-based Papa John's pointed to the Affordable Healthcare Act as a potential reason for higher pizza prices and a cutback in employee hours.

The Naples News reported Schnatter made the comments last week at a small college in Florida.

Schnatter's comments have been picked up by national media as other national chains allude to similar cutbacks.

The paper reported Schnatter said some franchise owners likely would reduce hours for employees to avoid health insurance costs.

We tried to contact Papa John's for a statement but did not hear back from them.
