LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Repair work near an interstate entrance ramp will force drivers of semi-trailers to use alternate routes.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has put restrictions on trucks using the ramp from southbound Gene Snyder Freeway (I-265) to westbound Shelbyville Rd. (US 60).
Crews are working to repair damaged curbs and drainage structures near the intersection. During the repairs the radius is not large enough to accommodate tractor-trailers wishing to make the right turn.
Large trucks can use the alternate of continuing south on the Gene Snyder and exit onto eastbound I-64, access northbound Gene Snyder and proceed to Shelbyville Rd.
This restriction is expected to last one week, but the amount of time needed to complete the work could be affected by inclement weather or other unforeseen delays.
