Official Derby 139 art revealed

LOUISIVLLE, KY (WAVE) - Churchill Downs is already gearing up for the most exciting two minutes in sports.

Wednesday, the track unveiled the official art for 139th running of the Kentucky Derby.

The piece is a colorful patchwork by collage artist Derek Gores.

Bits and pieces of the past and present were pulled together to create a unique interpretation of the run for the roses.
