LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An AAA service
truck driver killed in an early morning crash on Interstate 71 has been
identified.
Police said Kenneth Goldsmith, 31,
crashed halfway between the Watterson Expressway and the Gene Snyder just after
6 a.m. Wednesday.
According to police, Goldsmith, an AAA
Rescue Ranger, lost control of his vehicle and hit the cable barrier. The truck
then rolled over and was hit by a pickup truck.
Goldsmith was pronounced dead at the
scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was
taken to University Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening
injuries.
